You may register here as a volunteer for the ACTT United event on July 21, 2018 when the new forms become available.  You will be able to register electronically, or download a printable word document if that works better for you.  If you choose the word document, please contact the clinic director at the following email to make arrangements to turn these forms in.

Volunteer Information

Please read over these descriptions and prayerfully consider where God  would have you serve during the clinic. We will do our best to assign you to the location or position that you request, however, positions are first come first serve.

Volunteer Registration

Volunteer Descriptions

(Please note that many areas require a limited number of volunteers.  Guest Shepherds are of greatest need and volunteers may be diverted to this responsibility if their first 2 requests have already been filled.)

Clothes Closet/Food Pantry: This is the area where clothing that has been donated may be selected.  Non-perishable food items and toiletries will be distributed in this area.

Volunteers will assist our guests in selecting clothing, toiletry, and food items that have been donated to the Clinic.

Dental Team: Individuals are needed to assist with the dental screening, and guest registration within the dental area. 

Volunteers from the dental profession (dentists, oral hygienists) will perform dental screenings.  Other volunteers will be needed to assist in non-professional areas.  Please note your area of specialty on the volunteer form under “Comments“.

Evangelism Team: Persons who have a passion to share their faith are needed to be available throughout the Clinic should a guest request spiritual counselling.

Volunteers with a passion to share their faith will provide spiritual counselling and assist with any spiritual needs our guests may have.  Evangelism Team members will be placed in areas throughout the clinic to visit/witness with the guests

Exit Desk: The final stop for all guests to ensure they have received the services they requested and are connected with a church if so desired.

Volunteers will speak to each guest/family to ensure that all services requested were received if possible.  They will also assist in locating a church nearby the guest’s home should they request that service.  They will also pray with our guests before they leave the Clinic.  Bibles will be available for our guests at this area as well. 

Gatekeeper: Maintain the flow of guests going into each area of the Clinic to avoid delays in obtaining services.

Volunteers will maintain consistent flow of traffic for all guests entering and exiting each area of the Clinic.

Volunteer/Guest Registration:  Will assist volunteers signing in the morning of the Clinic and giving them their assignments as they arrive prior to the Clinic opening.  Will welcome guests as they arrive and assist the guests in pairing them with a shepherd.

Volunteers will assist our guests in registering as they arrive at the Clinic.

Guest Shepherd: Shepherds will assist each individual guest/guest family that attend the Clinic. The guest shepherd will be assigned a single guest or a family. They will remain with the guest/family till all areas of interest have been visited. They will use the time to show the love of Jesus to our guests, pray with them as appropriate and assist in spiritual matters as requested (or obtain assistance from an Evangelism Team member).  Shepherds are to never leave their guests during their time at the Clinic.

Volunteers will be assigned a single guest or family and accompany them to all areas of the Clinic requested by the guest(s).  They will remain with the guest/family until all areas have been visited and take this opportunity to share Jesus’ love as they interact with their guest(s).

Kitchen Team: We will need servers and volunteers willing to clean up the kitchen area.

Volunteers will assist the Kitchen Coordinator in preparing, serving and cleaning up meals prepared for all Clinic volunteers and guests during the day.

Medical Team: We need doctors and nurses in any area of specialty. We need medical educators, dietitians, diabetic clinicians, Chiropractors etc.

Doctors and nurses in any area of specialty are needed to volunteer for medical screenings.  Also needed are medical educators, dietitians, diabetic Clinicians, etc.  Please note your area of specialty on the volunteer form under “Comments“.

Prayer Team: This team will pray for the requests that the guests have the day of the Clinic.  They will pray with the guests if they request prayer. There will be a chapel area for the Prayer Warriors time in prayer.  This Team will also circulate throughout the Clinic to pray for each area of the Clinic.

Volunteers are needed who are willing to provide prayer support for our guests and the Clinic as a whole.  Volunteers will also be available to pray with a guest or provide spiritual counselling.  There will be a chapel area available for these prayer warriors.

Security/Parking Team: These individuals will assist the guests and volunteers as they arrive, provide directions to parking and to their Clinic needs.

Volunteers will assist the guests and volunteers as they arrive in providing directions to parking areas and security throughout the Clinic. These volunteers would need to be available at 6 a.m. to assist in volunteer parking and directing guests who arrive before the Clinic opens.

Spa Team: Hairdressers, barbers, people to do manicures and wash hair etc. are needed to assist our guests obtain spa services.

Hairdressers, barbers, make-up consultants, massage (hand, shoulder) therapists, manicurists are needed as well as other volunteers to provide assistance.   Please note your area of specialty on the volunteer form under “Comments“.

Transportation Team: We will need churches to provide their van and driver to pick up and return guests as needed.

Churches are needed to provide van(s), van drivers, and gasoline.  The team will go to designated pick-up sites and transport our guests to and from the Clinic.  Vans will also be used to transport guests to dental offices and the hospital for screening services.

Vision Team: Individuals are needed to assist with vision screening and guest registration within the vision area.

Volunteers will assist professional Clinicians with vision screening.  Please note your area of speciality on the volunteer form under “Comments“.

Promotion Team:  Individuals are needed to help promote this event to churches and to the community for the purposes of fundraising, soliciting donations and volunteers, and getting the word out to the guests who would want to attend. Members of this team will work together to promote the event through social media, the newspaper, churches, and any other avenue that is available and appropriate.
